How does the subscription work? 

As a BetternessBox Subbie, you'll receive a curated box of wellness tools and skincare products from predominantly Black-owned, women-owned, and small businesses, designed to nourish your mind, body, and soul. You'll be charged immediately upon selecting either the Annual or Quarterly Membership. Upon ordering, you'll receive an email confirmation and immediate access to your BetternessBox account. 

Annual Subscription

If you sign up for the Annual Subscription you'll get 10% off plus shipping upfront for your first 4 boxes. Your subscription automatically continues each year unless you decide to cancel before your bill date. 

Quarterly Subscription 

If you sign up for the Quarterly Subscription, your subscription automatically continues each season unless you decide to cancel before your upcoming bill date. If you join as a Quarterly Subbie and later decide to be Annual, you can cancel your Quarterly subscription and purchase an Annual subscription at any time from your account.  

Note: When you purchase an Annual subscription, you'll immediately get 10% off plus shipping. Your upgrade cost will cover a year’s worth of BetternessBoxes (4 boxes). This means if you subscribe Quarterly and decide to upgrade soon after, you will receive a total of 5 boxes!

For example, if you sign up as a Quarterly Subbie during the Spring 2024 season and purchase the Annual subscription during the Spring 2024 season, your upgrade will add the Summer 2024, Fall 2024, Winter 2024, and Spring 2025 boxes to your account! In this scenario, your membership would renew in Summer 2025.

Can I customize my BetternessBox?

 At this time, BetternessBox does not offer customization options for individual boxes. However, we strive to curate each box with a diverse range of products to cater to various wellness needs and preferences.
What's your cancellation policy?

If you would like to cancel your subscription, you must do so before the next bill date or you will continue to be billed for the following season's box (Quarterly Subbies) or next 4 boxes (Annual Subbies). Schedule of billing: February 15, May 15,  August 15, November 15  

To cancel, log into your BetternessBox account and select manage your subscription. There are no cancellation fees and canceling your account does not provide you a refund for any paid boxes, nor does it stop a pending charge. Your cancellation will go into effect for the following billing cycle. You will receive a confirmation email after you have canceled.

Annual Subscription cancellation requests will go into effect at the end of the annual term. Annual Subscriptions pre-pay for 4 boxes and are non-refundable.

What gift options do you offer?

If you’re looking to buy a larger quantity of BetternessBoxes or create your own custom box (minimum of 25, maximum of 100,000) you can do so by answering this form here or giving us a nudge at info@simplybetterco.org

You can select from different BetternessBox curations or customize your own with us to add your unique personality to them! Boxes will typically ship within 15-30 business days depending on the quantity ordered or customization needed. If you would like to request a specific delivery date, please make sure you submit your order at least 15 days prior. We can ship to the same address or ship it door-to-door.

Want to gift a loved one a BetternessBox subscription?

Surprise your friend with a self-care subscription from BetternessBox! Enter their name and address at checkout. Use their email address and create a temporary password so you can give them access and they can personalize their account and manage their subscription later. Just remember to remind them to change the password for security reasons!

How do I manage my BetternessBox subscription?

Managing your BetternessBox subscription is easy! Simply log in to your account to update your shipping address, change your subscription plan, update your method of payment or cancel your subscription. How do I cancel my subscription?

We’re sad to let you go! But you’re really sure that you want to cancel your subscription, please follow the steps in this guide. I'm having trouble logging into the website

If you are a subscriber: To log in to your account, click the LOGIN link. Enter the email address you used to sign up, and you will receive a verification email. After verifying, you should be able to access your member dashboard.

If you are a regular customer: To log in to your account, click LOGIN in the upper-right corner. Enter the email address and password you used to sign up, and you should be able to access your member dashboard.

If you are still unable to log in, please contact our Customer Care Team via the Support widget at the bottom of this screen. Please provide the following information: the type of device, operating system, and browser you are using.
What Happens If My Card Gets Declined?

BetternessBox is a subscription, which means you will be automatically charged every season or year depending on your subscription plan.  ​​​​​​

If we cannot successfully charge your card, your order will be placed on hold. You will receive an email notification from us to update your billing information as soon as possible. We will attempt to recharge the card again at a later date.

If we are unable to charge you for your membership renewal on the designated billing day, but manage to do it at a later date, your order will be shipped out with a delay. Please note, the longer your order remains on hold, the harder it is for us to guarantee that your box will remain in stock.

Can I use multiple promo codes on my order?

Offers cannot be combined or stacked. Only one promo can be applied to an account per user. 

Can promo codes be applied to Annual Memberships? 

Since the Annual plan is already discounted by 10%, additional monetary discounts cannot be applied.

If I add a monetary discount code to my order, will it discount my subscription each season? 

Any discount codes/promos used will only apply to your first box and do not carry to future charges on the subscription.

I have a promo code but it's not working - why?

Some promotions only work via a link - if this is the case, make sure you use the correct link when purchasing your BetternessBox to take advantage of the offer. When using a promo code, make sure it's still valid and you're entering it correctly.  

Can I confirm that my promo code was applied to my order? 

If the promo code is a monetary discount (i.e. limited-time discount) you should see the amount deducted from your total. Additionally, our Customer Care Team is always happy to help you confirm that your promo code was successfully applied!

Promotional offers are valid during the season for which they are offered. Offer while supplies last.

How Do I Change My Subscription Plan?

Quarterly to Annual Subscription 

If you are a Quarterly Subscriber, you can upgrade to our Annual Subscription at any time by logging into your account, canceling your current subscription, and then subscribing to the annual plan. This step is necessary to avoid being double charged.

When you upgrade from Quarterly to Annual subscription, you’ll get a 10% off and you'll be charged for four boxes. Please note that the upgrade applies to future boxes and will extend your subscription for an additional 4 boxes if you have already been charged for a pending BetternessBox. 

Annual to Quarterly Subscription  

If you would like to change your account from Annual to Seasonal, you can do so by logging into your account, canceling your current subscription, and then subscribing to the annual plan. This step is necessary to avoid being double charged.

BetternessBox Subscription Billing/Shipping Schedule 

The billing schedule for BetternesBox is set for the 15th of February, May, August, and November for all subscribers. For new subscribers, billing occurs on the day they subscribed, then follows the regular schedule. As for shipping, boxes are shipped on the 5th of the month following the billing cycle. For instance, if you are billed on February 15th, your box will be shipped on March 5th. 

Please note that shipping times may vary depending on your location, but we make every effort to ensure that your box arrives promptly and in excellent condition. If the 5th falls on a weekend or a holiday, shipping will occur on the next business day. Rest assured, you will receive a tracking number via email once your box has been shipped, allowing you to monitor its journey to your doorstep. This schedule is designed to ensure that you receive your BetternesBox in a timely manner, giving you ample opportunity to enjoy its contents.

What should I expect each season as a subscriber?

Each season is filled with a unique selection of high-quality products and resources designed to nourish your mind, body, and soul. From wellness tools and skincare products to books, journals, and mindfulness activities, every item is chosen with your well-being in mind. 

Here's what's inside your box:

When will I receive my BetternessBox?

BetternessBoxes are typically shipped out 2-4 days. Depending on your location, you can expect to receive your first box within 5-7 business days after it has been shipped. You will receive a tracking number via email once your box has been dispatched.

BetternessBox Subscription Seasonal boxes are scheduled to ship every March 5, June 5, September 5, December 5. We will communicate on social media if there will be a delay. 

How much does shipping cost?

For domestic orders, standard shipping is $5.99. Shipping rates for international orders are calculated based on location. To check your shipping rate, simply add items to your cart, proceed to checkout, enter your shipping information, and the shipping rate will be displayed under the subtotal. 

What do I do if my order is damaged during shipping?

Any missing, damaged, lost, defective, or wrong/incorrect item(s) must be reported within One (1) week of your delivery date. Please contact our Customer Care Team by clicking the Support widget at the bottom of this screen or emailing us at info@betternessbox.com and we will assist you with filing a claim and/or getting your items replaced.

My order is shipping to the wrong address

Once your order is billed, we are unable to update the shipping address.

Can I make changes to an order that I have been billed for?

Once we have billed you for your order, it is immediately sent to our fulfillment center for processing and we are unable to make any changes. This includes changing your shipping address, items in your order, or the payment method used. We recommend checking your account and confirming that your information on file is correct prior to the appropriate billing date or before submitting an order!

What is the BetternessBox Return Policy?

BetternessBox does not accept returns and all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges of BetternessBox Subscription, BetternessBox One-time purchase, BetternessBox Merch, and any discounted orders. Any returns made to us will not be eligible for a refund.​​​​​​​​​​​​
